Legend of the Galactic Heroes is - without any exaggeration - one of the best sci fi epics around. I’ve watched the anime. Words just cannot do justice to how good it is. If you like sci fi, or good stories in general, you owe it to yourself to pick it up in at least one of its many incarnations.

It has a rich stable world and there is good character development.
Some of us should be able to relate to people in this book because of politics, military or being around sheeple.
