The TARDIS materializes amidst the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, where the Doctor and his companions meet Alexander the Great. Four members of Alexander’s retinue, however, are plotting to murder the king and his successors so that one of their number can ascend to the throne and allow them to return to their homeland.
